Failed in Community Shield, Conte Asks Chelsea Stay Focused
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte (48), trying to immediately shift focus foster children after failing to become champion in the Community Shield 2017.
Chelsea lost a penalty shootout against Arsenal with a score of 1-4 after the game ended in a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes at Wembley Stadium on Sunday (06/08/2017).
The Blues, nicknamed Chelsea, actually had a 1-0 lead before Victor Moses scored in the 46th minute.
However, Sead Kolasinac scored a goal back and forced Chelsea to play a penalty kick after scoring in the 82nd minute.
The failure makes Conte ask Gary Cahill et al focus to prepare for the 2017-2018 season of the English Premier League.
“This match is difficult for both teams, we are trying to win and improve the physical condition because in the next six days we will start the league,” said Conte as reported by the official Chelsea website.
“Now the most important thing is to keep working and improve the team’s performance,” he said.
The Blues will melakoni Premier League first match with host Burnley at Stamford Bridge on 12 August.
